Welcome to Granville Parke! I hope you enjoy the pictures on this site. A few years ago I stumbled into an antique shop on a farm in Circleville, Ohio. I didn't buy any antiques but the owner had a few AMHA miniatures. I fell in love with them. She handed me an AMHA brochure and I immediately went home and checked out the website. That day changed my life forever!
I lived on a postage stamp lot between downtown Columbus, Ohio and the Ohio State University. Everyone thought I was crazy but after living there for fifteen years I put a for sale sign in the yard. I found a place in Granville, Ohio which is about 27 miles out of Columbus. It took three months to sell my house and I didn't think I would ever own a mini, but the house suddenly sold and here I am!
I started my breeding program with young horses. I studied the bloodines and used my gut instinct. All of my horses were carefully chosen for their unique individual characteristics. I originally purchased five yearlings, one weanling, and one bred mare just to get some practice.
All are AMHA registered. I love the little ones and several of my horses are between 30"-31". There are only two babies due this year but all six from last year are available. Three were born after August last year and there was no time to market them. I also have several two year olds.
Visitors are always welcome! Just give me short notice. I love to show them off even if you are a beginner and just want to look. Granville, Ohio is a wonderful place to visit. We have lots of shops, restaurants, bike paths, museums, and historical sites. It is also the home of Denison University.
